This is a serious issue and it needs to be treated accordingly. Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a feline disorder caused by an unfinished development of their cerebellum. It may be caused by many abnormalities including viral infections or chemicals. One of this disorder most observed reactions is imbalance or underdevelopment of the motor skills.
Since it is frequently discovered in cats, it should be regarded with seriousness and respect. Cats that have Cerebellar Hypoplasia are just like any other cats, maybe even more affections (maybe because of their handicap and need of attention) except for their motion control. In fact this cats can be raised and they can live their normal life just like any other cat if you give them a chance. I know people are embarrassed by having a handicapped cat, but they really shouldn’t. It’s their once in a lifetime chance to show that they have a loving heart. Remember this next time you go to adopt a cat. If you really love them show that.
There is no treatment for Cerebellar Hypoplasia so, basically this cats are destroyed if nobody adopts them. In case you have a new born one and you see this kind of behavior on it, go see a doctor, it should tell you that there will be nothing wrong with it if you raise-it properly.
