Does any of you remember how did google looked when it was a young promising new search engine? I guess not. Maybe many of you never did get a chance to see it until it was an established search engine.

Well, here is what I have found: on http://web.archive.org

This is how google looked at it’s beginning. Now, I know many new search engines that are trying to promote there search engine by incentives or giving people money to search. That’s not the way to go. Improve, be ingenious and work, work, work. That was their secret, and that’s the way to go.

Just look from where they started and where they got.

I didn’t update my blog lately because I was busy getting quality inbound links to my site. And believe me that’s a full time job (beside the fact that I have a real job in the real life) only from Digital Point forums, let alone the other thousand ways.

Now, I’m not going to give my list of 20 or 100 ways of getting one way inbounds links to your site, because I think that 1 (yes, you read that right, ONE) it’s more than enough for most blog starters or small – medium sites. So here I g0:

my 1 ways of getting quality inbound links to my site or blog (this post is going to be long, so be prepared):

A link from a PR7 site – just sign up at Digital Point forums, complete the sign up form (be sure to complete the website field with the url of your website) and Bam! there you have a link from a PR7 site. Of course, you will have to wait a while for search engines to crawl your member page, but when it’s done (a couple of days), there you have-it.

More links – I think that after 10 or 15 posts they will allow you to have a signature at the bottom of every post on their forum, so after presenting yourself and making a couple of more posts or questions, be sure to complete your profile with your website link in your signature. BAM! some more links when this pages are crawled.

The hard part – here WORK is involved, so be prepared and take some time with it. Go to the Business forums, and Buy, Sell or Trade sub forum and watch and learn the Link Exchange and Sell sub forums. There you will find every possible way of trading or exchanging maybe even getting one way or reciprocal links. And BE SURE you stay there and watch and learn and read until your eyes hurt. PM (personal message) to everyone that you think you are interested in his offer, present yourself, tell them your site name and URL, and ask them politely what you want or expect from them. In other words, work, work, work. You will find here everything changing every hour, from new websites requests to well established website requests. BE SURE you are not lured by their Page Rank, google their website URL and go trough the results pages until you reach the last page with results in google. Do not click the show all results and watch how many back links the site has. If it’s under 30, leave-it and move on, it’s not worth it.

The last and maybe EASY way is going to Digital Point Forums – Business – Buy, Sell or Trade – Freebies. Check this forum frequently and take every free one way inbound link that you can get. Don’t miss a thing, if it’s FREE and if it is ONE WAY, take-it!

I got about 60 links this way in about 2 weeks, so I wish you best of luck.

Remember 1996? It’s like starting from scratch all over again. Let me tell you what’s all about: The new google universal search is going to rule the world.

Tis is the google response to the new WEB 2.0 trend. They want to show you the results from web search, images, videos, news, etc. in just one page results. I can already hear you shouting: Why on earth would I want videos in my search results if I’m looking for text results? Well, according to google: “… if you don’t know where to look”. Come on! Even my grandmother knows that if she is looking for Oprah images she has to hit the images button and then do the search.

Now, to return to the SEO perspective, I can already see the results, and the headlines of newspapers: “Big SEO company looking for good video editors, salary- 500$/hour”. Or :”Small SEO company hiring good Photoshop editor and photograph, salary- 300$/hour”. SEO will need to be learned all over again. If you will want good results in SERPS from google you will need to attak this side of optimization also. Now the battlefield has changed, tables have turnd and the cards have been exchanged. Now the SEO companies are playing with the small cards, while the garage kid with his iMac laptop will produce a small but popular movie with the title “Tevion” and will detronate the Tevion homepage from it’s 1st place in google results that it has been having for 10 years (it’s not what I would like to see when i will look for Tevion products).

Now I’m so sorry that I haven’t learned video editing when I have chosen my career.

I’m glad to share with you the proof of payment for one of the early registered members of the less known program called SlashMySearch. You have a great chance that you haven’t heard about this search and earn program but after I have tried it for a couple of weeks now, without much of an interest, I have seen this proof of payment in the forum:

So, what is this program after all? The user signs up, and uses this search engine as regular as it uses his normal search engine. For this he is earning money witch are gathered in his/her account. Also the activity within the account and the forum are remunerated. When the user reaches the 50$ cash balance he can request payout via Check or PayPal. Easy money, isn’t it?
